Yoga is a powerful transformative tool to train both our bodies and our minds.

An ancient tradition, yoga has been a part of Indian culture for centuries. Today, yoga is immensely popular all over the world. A large number of scientific studies have found indisputable evidence of the beneficial effects of regular yoga practice both on physical health and mental abilities. Yoga can help you to:

  • improve flexibility, sense of balance and coordination

  • loose extra weight, tone and strengthen the body, perfect posture

  • stimulate blood circulation and thus increase the health of the inner organs and the body as a whole

  • train memory, ability to focus, concentration skills and even increase IQ scores

  • reduce stress and anxiety

  • connect with yourself, discover inner power and potential, find inspiration and motivation for everyday activities

The name of the ancient practice is derived from the Sanskrit word "yuj" that means to attach, to yoke. I have seen various interpretations of the word "yoga", but most often it is translated as "the union". Others interpret it as a yoke or a brindle that helps you to control the body and the mind. I think there are no rights or wrongs, as yoga is an intimate practice and understanding of what it is and how it benefits you comes with practice and usually builds itself and changes over time.

There is a great variety of yoga schools nowadays and everyone can choose a style and a teacher to facilitate own personal growth and suit even the most specific goals and needs.
